Sarah Higdon, a self taught artist who expresses her love of nature through pyrography and painting. Her interest in art started as a child, but really took off in 2012 when she began selling commissioned paintings. From 2020-2022 she served as Vice President of the Owensboro Art Guild. She then served as the President until 2023. In 2020, she illustrated the book, "The War Within" written by Nick Catinna, consisting of poems focusing on mental health. She has currently finished four murals within Daviess County and one in Morganfield, Ky. In 2026, she won the Carol Colburn Purchase Award with her piece residing in the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art. She hopes her art influences others to reconnect to nature and focus on the greater good of humanity.
