Pam Heavner

Pam Heavner of Reynolds Station, Kentucky has been painting since the age of 11, when her father enrolled her in a tole painting class and she received her first set of oil paints. She developed a passion for portraiture during high school and earned a scholarship from an art show hosted by the Fine Art Center in Colorado Springs, which led her to attend Savannah College of Art and Design.

After moving to Cotopaxi, Colorado at age 28, Pam found inspiration in the region's dramatic mountain landscapes, creating plein air paintings that captured the area's vibrant colors and ever-changing atmosphere. Following a twenty-year break to homeschool and raise her five children, she returned to painting. Her chosen medium changed to acrylic, and she has since exhibited her work at the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art, the Owensboro Convention Center, and throughout the Western Kentucky region.

Now serving as Vice President of the Owensboro Art Guild and chairperson of its annual Plein Air Event at Western Kentucky Botanical Garden, she is increasingly incorporating symbolism into her artwork, seeking to express spiritual truths and convey a message of hope.
